I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the family on the loss of your loved one. May God almighty, father of tender mercies and all comfort continue to strengthen you all (2 Corinthians 1:3,4). How eager we all are to see the fulfillment of Gods promise to completely remove death, tears, mourning, outcry and pain (Revelation 21:4). The Bible also provides assurance of the resurrection hope for our dead loved ones (John 5:25). May these promises from God bring you comfort. You can learn more about Gods purposes at www.jw.org

We were blessed to have then Father Burke as our Pastor at Holy Innocents Parish. We learned of his death at Mass this morning with great sadness. So many memories of this wonderful pastor came flooding back. Father was always there with a kind word, caring, wisdom, and humor. He touched so many lives, and we are all the better for knowing him. We will always carry his memory in our hearts with love and affection.

Very saddened to hear of Msgr. Burke's passing. He was a fine example of love and kindness. His service and compassion for everyone was remarkable. He supported me professionally time and time again. He was of extraordinary support in good times and in times of grief. When we search for examples of goodness in our spiritual leaders- let us remember this man ever so fondly- I pray the peace he had stays with all who knew him. We extend our sincerest sympathy to his family and all his loved ones.

I am the mother of Matthew Campbell.Matthew and I were fortunate enough to have Father Burke as the Pastor of Holy Innocents the eight years Matthew attended such a great school. Father Burke understood my situation and allowed my son to receive the best education that he could have had out of all the Catholic Grade School's in the area. Father Burke was such a great man and leader of Holy Innocents Parish.

God Bless Father Burke and his family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Burke family at this most difficult time. Monsignor Burke was a kind, loving and gentle man who had a great sense of humor. He was loved by all that knew him. One thing that I will always remember, it was after the Easter Vigil 4 years ago he came up to me and said Margaret you are the Pearl of Great Price ! Which means hidden treasure. I felt so good about myself as I left church that evening. He had a way about him and making people feel special. He will be greatly missed. Now the Lord will keep his arms around you for eternity. R.I.P. Monsignor, I will miss you, Margaret (The Pearl of Great Price !)

Fr. Burke was the pastor of Holy Innocents school while I was attending. He allowed my mother to pay my tuition in installments throughout the year, instead of up front, as that is the only way she would have been able to afford it. This made all the difference in my life looking back. Had it not been for that simple gesture, I would not have gotten the proper foundation of education, and who knows which direction my life would have headed. Such a simple thing for him to do, and I wish he knew the impact it has left.

God bless and Godspeed.

I was new to Holy Innocents less than a year when Fr Burke came to my home for block collection. I had been injured recently at work and was out on comp I had not received a check yet. I explained to Father my situation and that I could not contribute at that time. He was the pastor at that Parrish and he said I am not here for money I am here to meet my congregation. He came in had tea played with the kids, dog Blessed my home and even smoked a cigarette. When he was leaving he asked me if he could help pay a bill or two from his own private account. I declined but that simple offer renewed my faith in Catholicism and bought me back to a church I had felt disconnected from Thank you Father Burke

Msgr Burke was the greatest boss I have ever had. I was his cook at Phillip and James. It pained me to move away. He was the kindest soul. God truly blessed this earth with this man. My daughter was his first Youth Minister and because of him she is still in ministry. Our prayers and thoughts are with the Burke family.

Monsignor Micheal J. Burke was a great man, he will be missed. While I was attending Holy Innocents Catholic grade school, he was very generous to the less fortunate members of his congregation, this included me and my family. He literally embodied what it meant to be a good Christian. He was thoughtful, incredibly generous, and as down to earth as a man in a leadership position could be. I thank God for being the inspiration behind this man's actions, because Father Burke continues to be the inspiration behind mine.
May he rest in peace.

Growing up in Holy Innocents Parish was amazing. You ask what was so amazing? Having Father Burke! After school I remember him standing at "L" St. telling us, have a good evening! We would gather around Father Burke and talk to him. He was a true inspiration and we all looked up to him! Our prayers and thought are with your family!👼🏼
