Jeanne Sullivan Francis

Jeanne Francis of Whitehorse Village, Newton Square, PA passed away on February 18, 2017 at the age of 78.

Jeanne was born in Ocean City, New Jersey to Julia and Eugene Sullivan on June 17, 1938.  Jeanne grew up in Drexel Hill, PA and graduated from Notre Dame High School.  She received a Bachelor of Science from Immaculata University and her Master of Arts in Guidance from Villanova University.  She became a teacher at Garnett Valley High School and then worked for the Delaware County Intermediate Unit as a guidance counselor for Archbishop Carrol High School.

Jeanne loved the game of golf and was a frequent player with her husband John.  In her younger days, she was an expert skier.

Jeanne is survived by her beloved husband John D. Francis; loving daughters Cynthia Lawlor and husband Christopher; Susan Boclair and husband Frank and grandchildren Stephanie Jackson, Jennifer Lawlor and Jacquelyn and Reid Boclair.  Jeanne will be sadly missed by her sister Julia Harkins.

Jeanne is predeceased in death by her parents Julia and Eugene Sullivan and two sisters Margaret Underwood and Cecelia Blanche. 

Visitation: Saints Simon and Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA 19382 on February  22,  2017 from 8:30 to 9:45 AM. 

Funeral Mass: Saints Simon and Jude Church following the visitation at 10:00 AM. 

Interment: Calvary Cemetery in West Conshohocken, PA.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to White Horse Village Skilled Nursing and Compassus Hospice Care.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the White Horse Village Endowment Fund, 535 Gradyville Rd., Newtown Square, PA 19073.
