Dr. Robert “Dr. Bob” Latoff died August 3, 2016 in Paoli, PA. He was born in Coatesville, PA on September 30, 1930 to Helen and Amen Latoff.   

 

He married his wife Ann (King) of 55 years on December 2, 1961. Together, they raised a very close family of 5 children in Downingtown, PA.

 

Bob attended the University of Delaware and the University of Pennsylvania Dental School before practicing dentistry for 40 years in Coatesville, PA. He was known for his generosity to patients, and for bragging about the aforementioned children.

 

He served the US Military in the Army in Korea from 1956 to 1958.

 

He was once voted Best Actor at Scott High School. As an adult, he enjoyed playing handball and tracking the stock market. He was a member of Ss. Phillip and James parish.

 

Bob was very grateful for the support of his grandparents Ernest and Mary George for supporting him in going to college and eventually in becoming a dentist. Later in life, he was also thankful for the graceful and generous support of the US Veterans Administration.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Helen, and his brother Joseph.

 

Bob is survived by his wife, Ann, son Rob and wife Mary Latoff of Villanova, PA, son Bruce and wife Marie Latoff of Phoenixville, PA, son Alan Latoff of Wayne, PA, son Sean and wife Dina Latoff of Madison, NJ, daughter Andrea and husband Chris Flynn of Mill Valley, CA, his 13 grandchildren, his sister, Lois McGrath of West Chester, PA, and his nieces, nephews and friends.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral mass Wednesday, Aug. 17th at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 1229 W. Lancaster Ave., Rosemont, PA  19010 where friends may call 9-9:45 A.M at the church.   Interment private.
