Mary Ann (Madiro) Lee

Mary Ann Lee, who was a resident of Pocopson Home in West Chester, passed away on Saturday morning May 9, 2015.

She was the daughter of the late John Madiro and Frances Sarmento and was born on November 11, 1930 in Paoli, Pa.

Mary met her husband, Charles, at the Valley Forge Military Hospital in Phoenixville, Pa.  They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2003 and she was preceded in death by her husband in 2009 after 56 year of marriage.

Mary worked at the Wegman store in Downingtown and was the grandmotherly figure who handed out free samples to shoppers in the Bakery Department.

She was a wonderful mother to her three children and their spouses, Sandra Wayman and husband, Dean of Exton, Gregory Lee of Downingtown, and Mary Greer and husband, Jeff of Birdsboro. 

She is survived by seven grandchildren, Laura, Christopher, Brandon, Colt, Kerri, Jordan, and Rachel.

Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 14, at the Logan Funeral Home, 698 E. Lincoln Highway (corner of Route 30 and Ship Road) in Exton, PA 19341.

Prior to the service, visitation will take place from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Interment will be held immediately following at St. Agnes Cemetery.
